First deliveries were made on 18th May 2009 to a very tidy and well kept site in Easton, a credit to the site management. The site was handed over complete on 3rd July, 3 days ahead of programme.
Because of the site proximity to RAF Wittering, close liaison with the Senior Air Traffic Controller was vital to ensure safe site operations as well as the safety of the Harrier pilots flying training excercises.
These units achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 with improved building fabric insulation and AirSeal detailing incorporated by Excel Structures during construction. External wall U value = 0.21W/m2K
Metal webbed floor joists provide clear spans and easily accessible floor zones, not to mention a very stable floor construction.
With a target air permeability of 5, these units achieved as low as 1.26 m3/m2/hr @ 50Pa. Congratulations to Paul (the site manager) on maintaing excellent standards throughout the build process.
