Excel Structures Build On 10 Years Success With Brand Makeover

01.10.19

Looking to build on the success achieved over the last decade, Bedfordshire-based Excel Structures has invested in re-branding the business. It is a move geared towards positioning the specialist off-site building solutions provider as a UK market leader in MMC (Modern Methods of Construction). Coinciding with the re-branding, Excel Structures has also created two new divisions to better deliver the company’s solution provision and product offering – Excel Off-Site and Excel Façades.

As Managing Director, Jason Pritchard comments: “Excel Structures occupies a unique position in the sustainable off-site building sector  simply because it has the capability of providing a range of different building systems, not just one. It is a proven, all-inclusive business model that has been hugely successful over the last decade, and with MMC gaining ever-increasing levels of spotlight attention here in the UK, it is important that we are in a position to promote our multidimensional approach as effectively as possible moving forwards, and to an increasing, aspirational customer base.

“By creating the new divisional structure, together with the re-branding exercise, we are confident that this will enable us to build on our already well respected reputation within the rapidly expanding off-site sector. Indeed with likes of The Government’s Housing Minister, Esther McVey having only this week outlined her ambition to ensure Britain becomes a ‘world leader in MMC’, it appears our timing could not have been more poignant,” he added.

Responsibility for delivering the company’s range of sustainable off-site building solutions - timber frame, SIPS (Structural Insulated Panels), Light Gauge Steel Frame and CLT (Cross Laminated Timber) – rests with Excel Structures and Excel Off-site, whilst Excel Facades will be the vehicle to oversee the continued provision of a wide range of world class and high performance windows and doors.  The façades package is available as part of a structural solution or as a complete standalone offering.

Adopting a philosophy of delivering homes and buildings that are not only highly-energy efficient but which have minimum impact on the environment, Excel Structures works closely with clients – self-builders, custom builders, contractors and developers – to ensure that the system most suited to a project is adopted in the most efficient and affordable way possible. All components are manufactured under strict factory controlled parameters and delivered to site to create very airtight and well insulated buildings.

As Jason injects: “Excel Structures’ USP rests with the fact that it can offer clients access to a range of off-site solutions – residential and non-residential - all of which are fully bespoke and tailored to individual customer requirements in terms of architectural design intent, budget and environmental impact. This has been achieved by establishing proven, sustainable, and scalable relationships with our specialist supply partners.”

In addition to demonstrating high levels of flexibility in terms of system solution provision, Excel Structures’ success has also emanated from its policy of creating a single point of contact within the business from enquiry through to project completion. Indeed it is a relationship strategy that Excel Structures views as fundamental when it comes to ensuring clients receive the highest quality, most reliable and best value solution.

“Never before has the future of MMC here in the UK been more exciting, and it is our intention to ensure that Excel Structures is at the forefront of a movement that will only continue to gain momentum,” Jason concludes.
